General Terms and Conditions


Rental Terms
  • 1. Renter must be over 23 years old and have a valid driving license that is at least 1 year old. [cite: 2, 3]
  • 2. The renter agrees to return the vehicle on the due date or inform the lessor in person if an extension is needed and pay any applicable dues. [cite: 4, 5]
  • 3. All information provided by the renter is true and correct. [cite: 6]
  • 4. Free mileage is allowed as per the rental agreement. [cite: 7]
  • 5. The rental agreement will be automatically extended if the vehicle is not returned by the scheduled time. [cite: 8, 9]
  • 7. The full invoice amount must be settled at the time of vehicle return. [cite: 10]
  • 8. Rental charges, traffic fines, damage, fuel, or excess mileage charges will be deducted from the customer’s credit/debit card without prior notification. [cite: 11, 12]
  • 9. Excess mileage charges will apply to any replacement vehicle as well. [cite: 13]
  • 10. Value Added Tax (5%) will be applicable as per the Omani tax authority. [cite: 14]
  • 11. All N.A.B Rent A Car (Nawras Middle East) vehicles are non-smoking. [cite_start]Vehicles returned with burns, tears, or marks on the seats or interior, as well as any foul smells (including smoke), will incur a minimum cleaning or damage charge of OMR 30. [cite: 15, 16, 17, 18]
  • 12. The renter agrees to all terms and conditions listed in the rental agreement. [cite: 19]
Fuel Policy

Fuel is not included in the rental, and the customer is responsible for their own fuel. [cite: 21] [cite_start]Please return the car with the same fuel level it had when you picked it up; any difference will be charged. [cite: 22, 23]

Additional Drivers

Additional drivers must be approved and specified on the Rental Agreement Form. [cite: 24] [cite_start]You must not let anyone else drive the vehicle, and all additional drivers must meet age, license, and ID requirements. [cite: 25] [cite_start]An additional driver surcharge will cost OMR 2 per day. [cite: 26]

Child Seats

We offer baby seats, infant seats, child seats, and booster seats. [cite: 28] [cite_start]While a third party may help fit the seat in some locations, it is your responsibility to check that the seat is properly installed before driving. [cite: 29]

One-Way Rentals

If you pick up the car at one location and return it to another, an extra fee applies depending on the location and distance. [cite: 30, 31] [cite_start]This fee is already included in your total price if you requested a one-way rental at the time of booking. Fines and Charges

The Renter is responsible for all fines issued by authorities like the Royal Oman Police (e.g., speeding, parking, accidents), which may be charged even after the vehicle is returned. [cite: 35, 36] [cite_start]A service charge between OMR 2 will apply for each fine, based on the fine amount. [cite: 37] [cite_start]Full details of the fine will be shared with each invoice. Insurance Policy with CDW
  • 1. In case of an accident that is not the renter’s fault, there will be a zero excess fee. [cite: 40]
  • 2. If the accident is the renter’s fault, they agree to pay an accident excess fee of OMR 100. [cite: 41]
  • 3. The renter must submit all necessary documents, including a police report and claim number, to Nawras Middle East LLC. [cite: 42, 43, 44]
  • 4. In the event of an accident, the renter must contact the Royal Oman Police (ROP) emergency number 9999 and obtain an ROP report. [cite_start]A replacement vehicle will only be provided from Nawras Middle East offices. [cite: 45, 46, 47]
Taking the Vehicle Outside the Country (UAE)

Unless otherwise agreed, the vehicle may only be used within the Sultanate of Oman. [cite: 49] [cite_start]Driving to the UAE is only permitted with prior written approval by sending an email to saleshead@nabrentacar.com and receiving confirmation. [cite: 50, 51, 52] [cite_start]A cross-border fee of OMR 30 will be charged for issuing UAE border crossing papers and UAE insurance per trip (up to a maximum of 7 days). [cite: 53] [cite_start]If permitted, you are fully responsible for complying with all legal and regulatory requirements in the UAE. [cite: 55] [cite_start]The vehicle must be returned within Oman. [cite: 56]

Insurance is Not Covered Due to the Following:
  • 1. Damage due to wadi crossing, water, dune bashing, or losses caused by negligence or rash driving. [cite: 58, 59]
  • 2. Damages, accidents, or losses caused by the renter driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other substances. [cite: 60]
  • 3. Any loss or theft of the vehicle caused by leaving it unattended with the keys inside or the engine running. [cite_start]The renter will be fully liable for any losses or thefts. [cite: 61, 62, 63]
Use of the Vehicle

The renter shall permit only safe, careful, and authorized drivers, holding a valid driving license approved by the Royal Oman Police, to operate the vehicle. [cite: 65]
