    Insurance & Protection Plans

    All vehicles are comprehensively insured.

    N.A.B Rent a Car offers the following protection plans:

    1. Basic Protection (Included in Website Price)
    2. Standard Protection Plan (CDW Included)
    3. Super CDW Protection Plan

    1. Basic Protection

    (Included in Rental Price – No Additional Charge)

    Basic Protection is automatically included in the website rental price.

    Coverage Includes:
    • Comprehensive insurance coverage
    Accident Liability:
    • If the accident is NOT the renter’s fault:
      ZERO excess fee applies, provided a valid police report and the other party’s insurance claim number are submitted.
    • If the accident IS the renter’s fault:
      In such cases, the renter will be fully liable for all losses or consequences. The maximum excess fee applies as follows:
      • Sedan, Medium Sedan, Compact Sedan, Compact SUV: OMR 150
      • AWD, 4WD, and Big SUV Vehicles: OMR 250
    Accident Procedure:
    • Immediately contact Royal Oman Police (ROP) at 9999.
    • Obtain an official ROP police report.
    • Submit all required documents to N.A.B Offices.
    • Replacement vehicles will be provided from N.A.B Offices.

    Important Note:
    Failure to obtain a valid police report may result in full liability for all damages.


    2. Standard Protection Plan (CDW Included)

    Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

    Accident Liability:
    • If the accident is NOT the renter’s fault:
      No excess fee applies. A valid police report and the other party’s insurance claim number are required.
    • If the accident IS the renter’s fault:
      An excess fee of OMR 100 applies.
    Coverage Details:
    • Windshield: Covered under CDW with an excess of OMR 100.
    • Tyres: Covered. All vehicle tyres are regularly inspected and replaced when necessary. In cases of misuse, negligence, or renter-caused damage, a charge of OMR 50 per tyre applies.
    Accident Procedure:
    • The renter must immediately contact the Royal Oman Police (ROP) by dialing 9999.
    • An official ROP police report must be obtained.
    • All accident-related documents must be submitted to N.A.B Offices.
    • In case of an accident, a replacement vehicle will be provided from N.A.B Offices only.

    Important Note:
    Failure to obtain a valid police report may result in full liability for damages.


    3. Super CDW Protection Plan

    Super Collision Damage Waiver (Super CDW)

    Accident Liability:
    • If the accident is NOT the renter’s fault:
      ZERO excess fee applies (with valid police report and other party’s claim number).
    • If the accident IS the renter’s fault:
      ZERO excess fee applies.
    Coverage Details:
    • Windshield: Fully covered with ZERO excess.
    • Tyres and Lights: Fully covered with ZERO excess.
    Accident Procedure:
    • Immediately contact Royal Oman Police (ROP) at 9999.
    • Obtain an official ROP police report.
    • Submit all required documents to N.A.B Offices.
    • Replacement vehicles will be provided from N.A.B Offices.

    Insurance Exclusions

    Insurance coverage does NOT apply in the following cases:

    1. Damage caused by:
      • Wadi crossing
      • Water exposure
      • Desert dune bashing
      • Negligence or reckless driving
    2. Damages, accidents, or losses caused while driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any prohibited substances (as per Royal Oman Police regulations).
    3. Loss or theft of the vehicle resulting from leaving it unattended with:
      • Keys inside the vehicle
      • Engine running
  • 2. What are the payment methods for car rental services?
    We accept payments through credit card.
  • 3. How do I rent a car?

  • 4. Can I change the car after reservation?
    Yes, you can, but only after getting confirmation from our team.

  • 6. What should I do if the car breaks down?

  • 7. What is the minimum age to rent a car?
    23 years old.
  • 8. Is there a mileage limit?
    Yes, we offer both limited mileage and unlimited free mileage options at affordable prices. You may choose the option that best suits your needs.

    Limited Mileage Policy:
    Mileage limits apply based on the total rental period. For each day of rental, the allowance is 250 kilometers.

    Examples:
    • If you rent a car for 4 days, the total mileage allowance is 1,000 kilometers.
    • For a 10-day rental, the total mileage allowance is 2,500 kilometers.

    If you exceed the total mileage allowance, excess kilometers will be charged as follows:
    50 Baisa per extra kilometer for normal and small cars
    60 Baisa per extra kilometer for medium cars and small SUVs
    70 Baisa per extra kilometer for small 4WD vehicles
    80 Baisa per extra kilometer for large and heavy 4WD vehicles
  • 9. Is cancellation free?
    Yes, cancellation is free. However, we kindly ask that you inform us as early as possible so we can reserve the vehicle for another client.
  • 10. What documents do I need to rent a car?
    Omani Nationals & Expats living in Oman: Oman driving license, Oman national ID, credit card (Visa or MasterCard)

    Visitors & Tourists: Valid driving license, passport with Oman immigration visa stamp, credit card (Visa or MasterCard)

    GCC Nationals: GCC driving license, GCC national ID or passport, credit card (Visa or MasterCard)

    Expats & Non-GCC Nationals living in GCC countries: Valid driving license, passport with Oman immigration visa stamp, credit card (Visa or MasterCard)
  • 11. Can I add an additional driver?
    Yes, you can add an additional driver. Surcharge: 2 OMR per day.
  • 12. Do you provide baby seats and booster seats?
    Yes, baby seats and booster seats are available upon request at 2 OMR per day.
  • 13. What is your off-road driving policy?
    Our vehicles may be driven off-road for activities such as desert night camping or mountain trips to locations like Jebel Shams, Jebel Akhdar, Wadi Al Arbeieen, and other approved areas—provided that:

    • The vehicle is a suitable 4WD for the terrain
    • The location is approved by the police or local authorities

    Please note:
    Dune bashing or any extreme off-road activities in the desert are strictly prohibited with our vehicles.
  • 14. Automatic transmission available?
    Yes, all our vehicles are automatic transmission only.
  • 15. What is the fuel policy?
    Return the car with the same fuel level as at the start. Extra charges apply if fuel is low.
  • 16. Are there any hidden fees?
    No, we maintain full transparency in our pricing.

    Taxes: Value-added taxes are clearly stated.
    Insurance: Details of included insurance and optional coverage are provided.
    Service charges: Any additional charges, such as extra drivers, accessories, vehicle delivery, or pick-up fees, are disclosed upfront.
